Seafarers are the vital force driving global trade, and their well-being is paramount to the success of our industry. We are aware of the unique challenges faced by seafarers globally, demanding work and long separations from family are just two of the many factors that impact their lives. At BSM, we are committed to supporting the well-being of seafarers across the entire maritime community, not just those onboard our vessels.

We are proud, long-standing partners of The Mission to Seafarers (MtS), a global organisation that provides essential support to the 1.89 million seafarers worldwide. Operating in over 200 ports across 50 countries, MtS delivers practical assistance - such as ship visits and helping seafarers connect with loved ones - alongside emotional and spiritual care through chaplaincy and counselling. They also offer critical emergency support, acting as a lifeline for those in need.

As part of our ongoing commitment, we are participating with two teams in this year’s Adventure Race Japan (ARJ), a key fundraising event for MtS, taking place from 15-18 May 2025.

This follows our successful participation in the 2023 race, where we were able to raise more than USD 40,000. We are excited to continue supporting this worthy cause and hope to raise even more funds this year.

Making a donation

If you wish to contribute and support the BSM Teams in raising funds, you can make a donation directly on the MtS’ Adventure Race Japan event website.

You will be asked to select one team per donation.  So, you can either split your amount into two separate donations - one for each BSM Team - or simply choose one of the two. Either way, your contribution supports the same good cause and will be greatly appreciated.
