Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement is committed to full transparency and operating with zero tolerance to bribery and corruption. The Company actively participates in tangible efforts to combat corruption across the maritime industry, with a specific focus on the significant reduction of facilitation payments.

To support this commitment BSM has joined the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN), a global business network that works for a maritime industry free of all types of corruption comprised of vessel owning and other companies active across the industry.

MACN's primary objective is to provide a network in which anti-corruption practitioners can create awareness of industry challenges, discuss these and jointly develop practical solutions focused on implementing MACN's Anti-Corruption Principles. MACN also collaborates with other key stakeholders, including governments and international organisations, to identify and address the root causes of corruption.

Through membership of MACN, BSM gains a platform for exchanging our experience and the ways in which we tackle corruption with other key industry participants, which will further enhance our anti-corruption initiatives across all of our businesses.
