BSM participated again in this year’s Adventure Race Japan (ARJ) competition, a key fundraising event hosted by the Mission to Seafarers (MtS) — a global organisation that provides essential support to the 1.89 million seafarers worldwide. And so, success in this year’s competition was once more determined by both race performance and fundraising efforts.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our fundraising challenge. Fuelled by so much encouragement, we gave it our all. Team BSM 1 came in third, with the other BSM team finishing in the top 20 - a great overall result for the cause. In sum, we contributed over $40,000 to the ARJ event, which raised $1.85 million in total for the MtS.

All donations go directly and fully toward the MtS’s vital work, meaning more seafarers will receive the practical and emotional support they need; more seafarer families will be able to access services through Family Support Networks; more training programmes like WeCare can be funded and the MtS can continue to champion the welfare of seafarers worldwide.
