Course Description

The course is designed for Senior and Junior Engineers who are involved with the routine engine room operations on Frontline and Avance Vessels. This course aims to provide the delegates with detailed information on Owner’s Directives, Taskforce Recommendations, Various Technical alerts, and Company procedures with regards to operation of M/E, A/E, LO Analysis, Scavenge Inspection, Aux. Boiler, Exhaust Gas Cleaning System, Ballast Water treatment system, Planned Maintenance System and Marpol / PSC.

Course Content

After successful completion of this course, the delegates will understand:

  • Owners Directives with regards to proper Operation and Maintenance of Main Engine, Auxiliary Engine, Turbocharger, Exhaust Gas Cleaning Scrubber and Exhaust Boilers.
  • Various Technical Alerts for M/E Exhaust Valve, FIVA, HPS LO Auto filter, Exhaust Gas Cleaning Scrubber, Piston, Liner and Piston ring Issues.
  • Correct procedure for LO Sampling and Remarks in the Lub oil Analysis Reports.
  • Significance of Scavenge Inspection.
  • Exhaust Gas Cleaning Scrubber Operation and its maintenance.
  • Various Marpol Annexes and it’s relevance with various Shipboard Operations.
  • Significance of PSC Inspection.
  • Routine inspection, safety checks and maintenance of Auxiliary Boiler.
  • Salient points about Planned Maintenance System.
  • Operation and Maintenance of Ballast Water Treatment System.
