TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT
Bulk & Tanker –Mumbai

Role Objective: To manage a group of up to 5 ships so as to meet customer expectations and system & regulatory compliance norms in regards to safety, security, environment, cost & quality of service.

Job Responsibility:

• Day to day operation of assigned vessels are maintained and operated safely, effectively and reliably including the technical budget
• Make sure that the maintenance planning, execution and control is carried out according to company standards.  Ensure conformance to planned maintenance system
• Ensure vessel follows relevant regulations / requirements
• Monitor survey status of vessels, conduct periodic inspection survey of assigned vessels and follow up on identified defects
• Prepare, supervise, attend, document and follow-up on dry-dockings & repairs, supply of stores and spares
• Enhance customer relationship management
• Assist Fleet Manager in preparing budgets for the vessel and ensure complies with the budgets for the technical operations
• Other special tasks and projects as per Technical Manager / GM’s instruction

Requirement:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering
• Chief Engineer’s certification
• At least 18 months sailing experience as Chief Engineer
• At least 2 years experience as a Technical Superintendent
• Good spoken / written English is a must
