TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT

Key Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the day to day operation of assigned vessels are maintained and operated safely, effectively and reliably including the technical budget
• Ensure the maintenance planning, execution and control is carried out according to company standards and conformance to planned maintenance system
• Ensure vessel are operated with full compliance to relevant regulations and requirements
• Monitor survey status of vessels, conduct periodic inspection survey of assigned vessels and follow up on identified defects
• Prepare, supervise, attend and follow-up on dry-dockings & repairs, supply of stores and spares
• Demonstrate a strong customer-centric approach to solving problems and have revenue protection as their primary goal.
• Other special tasks and projects as per Fleet Manager / Managing Director’s instruction
   

Requirements: 

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering
• Have sailing experience as Chief Engineer for Tankers
• 3-4 years shore experience as a Technical Superintendent, preferably with a Ship Manager
• Good communication, organization and problem solving skills
• Highly integrity and able to work under pressure
• Willing to travel on board on a regular basis
• Good spoken and written English
