Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement has its own in-house training centre in Manila offering short, topic-specific courses that are not generally available at other training facilities. Many of these courses have been developed and are continually revised in conjunction with feedback from our clients. The courses add to the professional knowledge of our seafarers and thereby provide added value to their on onboard performance. We welcome the opportunity to provide other courses in cooperation with our clients.

We have three fully equipped classrooms and three full-time instructors:

• a Master Mariner conducts courses on vetting inspection, ISM-related document control, maintenance of safety equipment, chart correcting, disciplinary procedures, SSO duties, AIS, security awareness and preparation for audit.
• a Chief Engineer conducts courses on safe bunkering practices, general responsibilities of engine watch keepers, marine lubrication & marine cooling systems and vetting inspections.
• an IT professional takes the helm in our computer learning facility which is fully equipped to offer courses ranging from the use of Windows, Word & Excel as well as client-specific software through to network applications and the use of computer peripherals such as scanners and digital cameras and PMS systems.

All courses are free to all Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement seafarers.
