BULK CARRIERS
Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement has over 35 years of experience in managing dry bulk vessels and is well versed in the handling of these vessels and their inherent high risks.
The company’s managed fleet of bulk carriers consists of Handysize, Handymax, Panamax, Capesize and Gravity-Fed-Self-Unloaders engaged in the transportation of a broad range of major and minor bulk cargoes.
Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement maintains the highest industry standards and complies with shipowners’ and charterers’ requirements by following a comprehensive maintenance programme including the use of planned maintenance systems and by carrying out regular inspections that are proven to help in asset preservation, cost efficiency and maximization of revenue days.
As a leading, quality-conscious shipmanager, the company ensures that its managed vessels operate safely, with full operational efficiency and in compliance with all rules and regulations of the country and waters that are applicable. Asset value is protected throughout the life of the vessel and the vessel’s hull and machinery are properly maintained internally and externally.
The crucial importance of third-party inspections is well known to us and this is assisted by many of our Marine and Technical Superintendents’ long experience with bulk majors, port state control inspections, flag state and coast guard inspections.
We have a full-time Quality Assurance group within our organization that monitors every aspect of our operations on a daily basis, both within our office and onboard our vessels, to ensure that every activity is handled in accordance with our corporate commitment to total quality management. Continuous monitoring of safety and quality standards is achieved by monitoring our adherence to safe working practices on board and ashore - every single day.
