Inspired by the desire to provide first-class quality management services, the companies that went on to form Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement were the driving force behind the formation of the International Ship Managers Association (ISMA) - now know as Intermanager - and in 1991 was the first company to be accredited for compliance with the stringent ISMA code of Shipmanagement Standards.
