Established in 2000, BSM Singapore is ideally placed to serve customers both throughout Asia as well as the rest of the world. It is strategically located at the heart of the Asian shipping industry with access to the wider region.

BSM has access to the city-state’s, highly skilled and competent workforce as well as the safety net of a stable economic climate assured through the strong governmental commitment to the shipping industry.

To complement a full range of ship management services, the Centre established an Offshore team in 2015, further broadening its capability to support offshore unit management from Singapore.

BSM Singapore is a member of the Singapore Shipping Association and, as an IMarEST partner since 2015, sponsors employees’ memberships with IMarEST.

Raymond Peter

Managing Director (BSM Singapore)

Capt. Raymond B. Peter, SIARB, took office as Managing Director of BSM Singapore in 2018. Raymond is vastly experienced in the management of oil and chemical tankers, bulk, container, gas and offshore vessels. He has been in the shipping industry for over 32 years, including 13 years at sea. Raymond served on board NOL (Neptune Orient Lines) and exited as Master Mariner for AEG (American Eagle Tankers). Having gained experience both in ship owning and ship management after moving to shore, he was also provided the opportunity to work with Class ABS, ISM, ISO, also attaining experience in auditing. Prior to his current role, Raymond was the Deputy Managing Director of BSM Singapore. He is a member of the Nautical Institute of Malaysia and Singapore and is a part of the DNV-GL, ABS Technical Committee, Shell Focus Group for the Asian Pacific Region and Intertanko Gas Committee for Asia Pacific.
