Rajaish Bajpaee

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Bajpaee joined the Eurasia Group of Companies of the Hamburg-based Schulte Group in 1987. Beginning as the Deputy General Manager, he was later promoted to the position of President & CEO. From 1st January, 2008 until 31st December, 2010 he was the Deputy CEO for Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement further to the integration of Dorchester Atlantic Marine, Eurasia, Hanseatic and VBSK in 2008 who all are members of the Schulte Group. Presently, he is the Chief Executive Officer of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement.

Mr. Bajpaee combines his academic, technical and business backgrounds (Marine Engineering degree from MERI, Kolkatta, 1972 and Master's in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila, 1980) with more than two decades' experience at senior management level, including Board positions. He is consistently engaged in contributing to solutions to industry issues, for instance through various forums such as InterManager, InterTanko, IMEC and Hong Kong Shipowners Association.

Besides his corporate responsibilities, he is currently the External Board Member of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University International Centre for Maritime Studies, Executive Committee Member of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association, Member of the Client Relations Group of the Marine Department of the Government of Hong Kong SAR, Council Member of Intertanko, the Vice-Chairman of the Steering Committee on Shipping KPIs, and continues to provide stewardship to the KPI Project conceptualized and initiated when he held the presidency of InterManager in 2005 and 2006. Mr. Bajpaee has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the prestigious Nautical Institute for his services and contribution to the Shipping industry,. the Glory of India Award and the Bharat Gaurav Award by the India International Friendship Society for his extra ordinary excellence achieved in the maritime field.
