Director - Quality Health Safety Environment & Security (QHSES), Compliance, and Vetting

  

Captain Lunn began his seagoing career in 1975 as a Deck Officer Cadet with P&O, achieving his first command in 1989. During his sea career, Captain Lunn served on virtually all ship types: Gas Carriers, Bulk Carriers, General Cargo, Heavy Lift, Reefers, VLCCs, Chemical Tankers, Container Vessels, ROROs, Passenger Ships.

 

Following a period ashore studying for his MSc, Captain Lunn joined the Schulte Group as Master with Navigo Management Co, in 1996. He came ashore in 1998, as Management Systems / Safety Manager for Navigo, and was promoted to Marine Manager in 2002.

 

In 2006, Captain Lunn was appointed as Managing Director of MarMan Ltd; a company offering consultancy and other marine services to shipowners and managers alike, before accepting the position of Group LPSQ Director for Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement.

 

In January, 2008, he was appointed as Group Compliance Director. Since 1st January, 2012 he holds the position of Quality Health Safety Environment & Security (QHSES), Compliance, and Vetting Director.

 

Captain Lunn is a Fellow of the Nautical Institute, a Chartered Quality Professional and Member of the Chartered Quality Institute.

He has served on various steering committees including IMO panel of experts for revision to the ISM Code, ICS Bridge Procedure Guide revision and various CBT onboard training material.
 

He has been involved in Intermanager's KPI project since its inception, and currently advises on Shipping  KPI issues as a part of the ‘Shipping KPI Expert  Group’. He headed up the writing of Intermanager’s  acclaimed "Guidelines to implementing ISO 9001:2000 for Ship and Crew Managers."
