MR. ATUL GUPTE

Mr. Gupte graduated as a Bachelor of Commerce in 1987 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990. Later, he held several finance and accounting positions in industries ranging from financial services to manufacturing, before starting his career with the Eurasia Group of Companies in its Hong Kong office in 1993.

Starting as a Management Trainee with Eurasia Group, he has been a part of the finance / accounting / corporate secretarial team and has held various positions progressively – Chief Accountant, Deputy Financial Controller, Financial Controller and Director, and Finance & Administration.

He has been a part of the Eurasia Group’s growth from around fifteen vessels and one office location to almost 120 vessels and eight office locations across the globe. Mr. Gupte has assisted and/or spearheaded the setting up of all the new offices with specific focus on taxation and accounting, as well as secretarial and legal matters.

He has also been involved in various ad hoc projects involving HR and Organisational changes, providing him with well rounded organisational and management exposure.

Mr. Gupte was also a core member of the team that prepared the submission for the HKMA Quality Award, which Eurasia won in the year 2003.
