Andreas Droussiotis

Mr. Droussiotis was born in Limassol, Cyprus. After completing his education in Cyprus and spending five years working with Touche Ross & Co., Mr. Droussiotis went to England where he studied accountancy and later obtained his professional qualification and membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He has been a Fellow of the Association since 1980 and has worked in the profession with international firms for 11 years.

After returning to his home country in 1974 Mr. Droussiotis joined the Hanseatic Shipping Company Ltd. in the position of Chief Accountant. He was steadily promoted over the years to become Financial Director and   Deputy Chairman. In 1992 he took over the position of Managing Director and since 2004 has held that of Chief Executive Officer. From 1st January, 2008 until 31st December, 2010 he was the Chief Executive Officer for Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement Group. Since 1st January, 2011 he holds the position of Non-Executive Chairman.

Mr. Droussiotis served as President some years ago of the Cyprus Marine Environmental Association and for 6 years as President of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber up to 2006 as well as in the Executive Committees of I.C.S., I.S.F. and ECSA.

Presently he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Cyprus Marine Environmental association.  He serves on the Executive Committee of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber and he is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of BIMCO and Intermanager.
