GROUP MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER:
MR. ADONIS VIOLARIS

Mr. Adonis Violaris is the Group Marketing and Communications Director with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (Cyprus), the HR Manager, as well as the Director of Telaccount Overseas Ltd. Mr. Violaris holds an MBA in Business Administration from Freie Universität in Berlin. Throughout his education and professional experience, he maintains close links with the IT and Communications Industry and is one of the main speakers at various IT and Communications conferences.

The main objective for Mr. Violaris and his team has been to control and keep at a minimum, the communications costs and to provide support to the Headquarters, branch offices and vessels regarding communication matters. Following the renaming of Hanseatic Shipping Co. Ltd to Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (Cyprus) Ltd., the CPR Department which Adonis has set up, was divided into two branches; the communications – now handled by Telaccount Overseas, and the Public Relations and Human Resources Department, both of which are under Mr. Violaris’ direction. In addition to these tasks, Mr. Violaris and his team have the responsibility of conducting marketing research, and specializes in the area of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM), particularly focusing on how the BSM (Cyprus) team can use its staff members as a source of competitive advantage.

With regard to his service role, Mr. Violaris is involved at national and local levels in Communications and Marketing, and Human Resources Management. He was elected to the position of Chairman for Intermanager’s Communications Committee. In addition, he serves as the Chairman of the ICT Sub-committee of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber. He is also a member of the Cyprus Human Resources Management Association.
